Do you like South Park? Some people do, and some people do NOT. Anyway, there are a couple of episodes that I enjoy, one is about
STARVIN MARVIN, and the other is called:
STARVIN MARVIN IN SPACE! Both are pretty darn funny. You might be able to view them on Yahoo!'s video page, but I went to:
http://www.DailyMotion.com and typed Starvin Marvin into the search box, and found what I needed. I was able to wach each 30 minute episode FREE! Hot dang, this stuff is cool. But wait, there's more...
After watching the two videos I looked for them in my computer's Temporary area, to see if I could find them. I did find them in:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR-PROFILE-NAME\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
They were listed as FLV files. I think that FLV means Flash Like Videos, or something... Anyway, to view these files over and over again, I went to
Google, AltaVista, AllTheWeb, MSN, and Yahoo!
search engines, and typed: FLV player. I found some players, and an encoder program. These programs let me watch FLV videos, and I can even copy them to CD or DVD for later viewing. COOL!
So what does this mean to YOU? Ok, think of this: You've got dozens or hundreds, or thousands of videos that you don't want other people to see. If you have a
FLV encoder, you can make FLV versions of those videos, and only YOU can watch them, unless someone else has a
FLV player. It's like having your own private library of videos.
After getting my first direct deposit payment from the company that I work for, I signed up for
DSL high-speed Internet, and now I cruze the web like a pro. Oh sure, if I could afford a T1 or a T3, or something faster, I would get it. But for now I am quite content with this DSL connection that I have. I have finally learned how to use the different settings on the wireless modem/router, and I change the name of my connection weekly (or perhaps weakly...).
