Do you know what I would like to see happen? I would like to have stores like COSTCO, Sams Club, and other
big box stores, sell Internet access with pre-packaged software. It would be very simple for Microsoft, AOL, NetZero, Juno, and all of the other Internet providers, to increase their sales in this area.
Imagine having a section in the computer software area of your favorite store, which sell a DVD or CD with
Internet access on it for ONE year. Naturally it would be for Dail-Up access, but it would also have options for other services as well. You would simply pay for the DVD or CD, go home, pop it into your computer system, and be surfing on the net in no time at all. Since your credit card information would be safe with the store where you bought the software, you could have peice of mind (or is it peace of mind?...).
Anyway, this is just an idea of mine, and please feel free to forward it on to any of the
big-box stores that you visit.
